ALFRD.AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is designed to help you capture and plan your day with privacy in mind. This policy explains how we handle audio and voice data when you use our voice recording features.

What we collect

• Voice recordings you choose to create in the app.
• Transcripts generated from those recordings to create tasks, notes, and summaries.
• Technical diagnostics (e.g., app version, device type) to maintain reliability. No advertising identifiers.

How we use your audio & transcripts

• Convert recordings into tasks, subtasks, and notes you can edit.
• Improve on-device suggestions (e.g., titles, due dates, durations).
• Troubleshoot issues you report.

Processing location

By default, audio is transcribed on secure servers we control or via a contracted speech-to-text provider acting as our processor. If a third-party processor is used, it is bound by data-processing terms and may process data in the U.S. or other jurisdictions with appropriate safeguards.

Retention

• Recordings: kept only as long as needed to produce or maintain your transcript and derived tasks, or until you delete them.
• Transcripts: stored with your account so your tasks/notes keep working, until you delete them or your account.

Your controls

• You can delete any recording, transcript, task, or note at any time.
• You can export your data (coming soon) from Settings.
• You can disable cloud transcription (if available) in Settings.

Sharing

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run ALFRD.AI (e.g., cloud infrastructure, speech-to-text) under strict contracts, or if required by law.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No security program is perfect, but we work to keep your data safe.

Children

ALFRD.AI isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
